How-To

Simple, clear directions on how to perform various maintenance tasks and modifications on your Corvette ERay.

My first post (at the bottom) is a Public Service Announcement about something that I discovered on my ERay that needed to be corrected right away — and mine wasn't the only just-delivered ERay in this condition. Every ERay buyer should check their new Corvette!

Removing OEM Clips from Rock Guards, Full Installation

I remember installing rock/splash guards on my 2021 Stingray, and not only did the rock guards I purchased (from a different company) come with metal clips already on them, but the OEM clips got bent when I uninstalled the factory parts, so I was not looking forward to reusing the OEM clips, but that's what they said I needed to do. People have accidentally broken the plastic tabs on this cover, so this post describes how to easily remove it without breaking anything... and to show you the new discovery!

All ERay buyers should check this on their Corvettes because I've learned that mine wasn't the only one delivered this way — but it gets even better than that. Once I tightened it, I couldn't get it back off, and neither could the Corvette tech at the dealership! This post provides lots more detail, the easy solution to getting the cap off (once you know the trick), and clear photos of what's inside there!
